Training & Empowerment Women Congress MB proudly launches Women Without Limits — Manitoba’s first bilingual (English–Spanish) book celebrating 15 remarkable women whose journeys embody courage, creativity, and resilience. From Citizenship Judge Suzanne Carrière, who has welcomed over 170,000 new Canadians, to designer Destiny Seymour, an Anishinaabe creator who weaves tradition and modernity through her designs, and scholar María Eugenia Silva, a Chilean-Canadian academic and writer amplifying Indigenous and migrant voices — each story reflects perseverance and purpose.

Canadian journalist turned Public Relations & Reputation Management entrepreneur Nicole Harris shares how turning setbacks into success became the foundation of her leadership, while the Mexican-Canadian scientist Aline Tezcucano Molina, recognized among the most influential Hispanic women in Canada, celebrates women’s place in science and innovation. A Ecuadorian-Canadian Entrepreneur Priscila Calderón highlights the power of preparation and resilience in business, and Colombian community leader Diana Carolina Morales shows how social service and education can transform communities.

Mexican-Canadian facilitator Lorena Elder and Venezuelan-Canadian leader Carmen Puente, co-founders of the Women Congress MB, unite their voices in a message of hope and empowerment for women across cultures. The collection also features Eva Kiwanuka, a Ugandan-Canadian author and life coach who inspires transformation through faith and connection; Jhoceline Gilbert, a Dominican entrepreneur who turns grief into purpose; and Nataly Ponce, an Ecuadorian-Canadian doula supporting migrant mothers through care and community. Business innovators Amanda Buhse and Monica Derksen bring creativity and reinvention to Manitoba’s entrepreneurial scene, while Catalina Lara, a Colombian-Canadian Strategic Communicator and Public Relations Specialist, shares a story of faith, family, and perseverance — reminding us that when women share their stories, they inspire others to rise, connect, and build a lasting legacy.

Women Without Limits presents stories covering themes such as breaking barriers, navigating the challenges of migration, embracing leadership and advocacy, developing resilience in daily life, and building cultural bridges that celebrate diversity and solidarity. Each chapter offers personal insights, lessons learned, and stories of courage that inspire and motivate readers. “Through this book, we seek to amplify the voices of women whose stories inspire us all. Women Without Limits is more than a collection of stories: it is a testament to resilience, courage, and the power of shared experiences across cultures.” said Carmen Puente, General Director of Training & Empowerment Women Congress MB.

Born from the success of last year’s Women Without Limits Conference, this powerful literary collection captures the lived experiences of women who have overcome barriers, navigated migration, embraced leadership, and built resilience across cultures. The foreword of the book features an inspiring message from the Honourable Anita R. Neville, Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba, underscoring: “After the success of the conference, we felt these stories needed a permanent space to be heard and shared. That is how the idea for the book was born—to preserve and share the experiences of courageous women who inspire others to follow their own paths. This project also becomes the first book in Manitoba to bring together 15 voices, 15 stories, and 15 women.” explained Puente.

The chapters of Women Without Limits address empowering themes such as breaking barriers, navigating the challenges of migration, embracing leadership and advocacy, developing resilience in daily life, and building cultural bridges that celebrate diversity and solidarity among communities. Each chapter provides personal perspectives, lessons learned, and stories of courage that inspire and motivate readers.
