Driven By The Vision

Small Business Canada

An organization without a vision is a temporary project. At times entrepreneurs start their business as a venture. They approach it like an idea; that when implemented, it generates money! Realizing that an enterprise, when not driven by a vision, is just a task that ends immediately after it gets completed is insightful. Continuity in an organization has to be driven by a vision.

The ability to passionately communicate that vision to the organization will determine the magnitude of the company’s success. To urge directors and managers to build processes that are based on foundations, driven by that vision, is key in defining and measuring that success.

To create a work environment that is vision-driven is significant and requires some planning.

  1. A clarified vision will give staff a momentum to work harder to reach their targets. Find areas in the vision that can tie up to their objectives and goals.
  2. Communicate intentions behind each objective with eagerness to see results.
  3. Recognize strengths in each staff member and allocate tasks accordingly. Reinforce how important each role is in accomplishing the company vision.
  4. Invest in the company workforce to bring results. Provide training to perfect professions, and keep staff abreast of technology and latest business trends.
  5. Inspire and motivate through words of encouragement and recognition.
  6. Follow-up on the scope of work and acknowledge achievements, always tying reached objectives with the company vision.

Focus driven processes aim highly at reaching a clarified vision. Time spent in the planning to engage an organization in a leader’s vision will pay off in reaching ultimate success.
