Baddies in Tech is excited to announce BaddieCon 2024, set to take place in New York City from August 15-18. Building on last year’s success, which attracted over 350 attendees and facilitated seven full-time hires through our career expo, BaddieCon is the leading conference for dynamic women of color in tech and entrepreneurship. “BaddieCon is not just a conference; it’s a movement dedicated to empowering
women of color tech professionals and entrepreneurs to thrive, innovate, and lead,” said Allie Joy, Executive Director of Baddies in Tech.
BaddieCon addresses the unique challenges faced by Black women in tech, such as underrepresentation in management, limited advancement opportunities, and the gender and cultural pay gap. With the rapid advancement of AI and other emerging technologies, BaddieCon focuses on leveraging these skills & tools to
enhance candidate industry value. We provide tailored educational resources, including mentorship programs, networking opportunities, and skill-building workshops aimed at raising awareness, fostering representation, and enhancing career competitiveness.
This year’s event will feature notable keynote speakers like Jasmine Lawrence Campbell, Founder of Eden BodyWorks and Lead Robotics & AI/ML Product Manager at Nvidia; Angie Jones, VP of Developer Relations at TBD; and Deandre Brown, social influencer known as “The Corporate Baddie”, whose expertise align
seamlessly with the theme and programming. Offering invaluable insights and strategies, the keynote addresses will empower attendees to leverage the event’s opportunities to advance their careers and entrepreneurial goals. Kicking off with the Baddiepreneur Accelerator on August 15, a $10,000 pitch competition generously supported by sponsors and partners, the competition will back outstanding female
entrepreneurs tailored for teams with a proof of concept and led by underrepresented women (Black, Latina, Indigenous). The Corporate Baddie Summit showcases women of color leaders from companies such as Google, Red Hat, Microsoft, Salesforce, and more. This segment includes a Career Expo featuring 20+ tech companies, live job interviews, career coaching, and the B-Suite Lounge for exclusive networking among women of color leaders and supportive companies.
BaddieCon also features networking activations such as a VIP Welcome Mixer, Baddie Brunch, and an official after-party, alongside curated NYC events like the Baddie Par-Tee golf mixer with City Girls Golf. Virtual attendance options include live-streamed panels, workshops, and interactive sessions. Join us at BaddieCon 2024 as we create a more diverse and inclusive tech community where all individuals can thrive.
