Winnipeg, July 8, 2022 — FGC Health, a national leader in consumer health services, industry-specific business tools, and provider of an industry-leading proprietary open-source platform, today unveiled its Pharmacy Partnership Program (PPP) to help pharmacists become entrepreneurs and take control of their financial futures. PPP provides capital, expertise, and resources to empower pharmacists to become entrepreneurs and also give established pharmacy owners a path to succession planning. The program includes all of the back-end expertise to help pharmacists become owners, including cross-portfolio branding and marketing services. Under terms of PPP, pharmacists receive a 20% stake in their pharmacies.
“Pharmacists have a high degree of job dissatisfaction because they don’t control their own professional destinies, and many pharmacy owners do not have a clear path to exiting their businesses profitably,” said Dalbir Bains, CEO of FGC Health. “We created PPP to help pharmacy students and pharmacists in the early stages of their careers build ownership stakes in their own pharmacies, and we help experienced owners enjoy the fruits of their labour through succession planning that helps them monetize what they’ve built. We are committed to transforming the Canadian pharmacy market by putting the power where it belongs: in the hands of the skilled experts who do the work and build relationships in their communities.”
EVP Trevor Paynter adds that, “Pharmacists receive years of training to become experts in their field, but they receive very little insight into the business side of the industry. FGC Health believes it is vital to put the power of the industry back into the hands of the skilled experts who do the work and build relationships in their communities, and with that mission in mind, we designed PPP as a format program to give students and pharmacists in the early years of their careers a clear path to ownership.”
