GrowEasy Solutions | Abbotsford, British Columbia | Operational Execution Software
Most small businesses already have procedures, standards and experienced managers. What they often lack is a reliable way to confirm that important work was actually completed on every shift, at every location.
Saboor Meherzad has watched that problem from several sides. He has worked in a family grocery business, in restaurants and large-venue operations, and later in technology and project delivery. In each of those environments, he says, the same lesson kept surfacing: strong organizations do not depend only on good people; they also depend on systems that help good people execute consistently.
That observation is the basis of GrowEasy Solutions, the Abbotsford, British Columbia company he founded and now leads as CEO. GrowEasy is developing what it calls execution infrastructure for small and growing businesses.
“Small businesses don’t usually struggle because their teams don’t care,” Meherzad says. “They struggle because too much of daily execution still depends on memory, paper checklists, verbal follow-ups and managers physically checking whether work was completed. We’re building GrowEasy to help close that gap, giving businesses a simple way to turn their standards into accountable, visible execution.”
The execution layer
Frontline operations commonly run on paper checklists, verbal instructions, group chats and memory. Those methods work at a certain size. As a business adds staff, shifts and locations, they become harder to manage, and the distance grows between what the business expects to happen and what actually happens during the day.
GrowEasy is not trying to replace point-of-sale, payroll, accounting or inventory systems. The company is focused on the operational execution layer, helping teams turn operating standards and recurring responsibilities into visible, accountable workflows.

The initial platform centers on three core workflows—SmartRounds™, Proof Queue™, and Shift Handoff—supported by a broader Standards Assurance approach.
SmartRounds™ turns recurring operational routines into structured assignments that frontline employees can complete during their shifts. Businesses can create repeatable operating routines rather than relying on paper checklists or verbal reminders, with clearer accountability for completing them.
Proof Queue™ handles work that requires verification. Employees can submit evidence such as a photo, note or timestamp, and managers can review submitted work through a structured process instead of relying on verbal confirmation. Work can be reassigned or escalated where necessary.
Shift Handoff is designed to improve continuity between teams. Outstanding work, issues and operational information can carry from one shift to the next, so responsibilities are less likely to disappear when employees or managers change.
Standards Assurance reflects the broader objective of helping organizations understand whether operating standards are being executed consistently across shifts and locations.
Together, these capabilities support a simple operating cycle: standard, action, evidence, review and follow-through.
The product is browser-based and designed to support different organizational roles and locations without requiring businesses to deploy specialized hardware.
The founder
Meherzad’s route to entrepreneurship began well before GrowEasy. His family left Afghanistan and spent roughly six years rebuilding their lives in Pakistan before immigrating to Canada in 2000. After arriving in Canada, his family operated a grocery business, giving him early exposure to the realities of small-business operations.
His professional experience later crossed food service, venue operations, technology and project delivery. He holds an MBA from Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business and a Bachelor of Technology in Technology Management from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, along with PMP®, Certified ScrumMaster and ITIL 4 certifications.
Small businesses, he notes, often face the same operational complexity as larger organizations, but without dedicated operations teams, enterprise systems or large technology budgets. GrowEasy is built on the idea that better operational discipline and visibility should be available to smaller businesses as well.
Representing Canada in Vienna
In September 2026, Meherzad represented Canada as a Canadian delegate at the G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance Summit in Vienna, Austria. The summit brought together young entrepreneurs and business leaders from G20 economies to discuss entrepreneurship, innovation, economic development and the challenges facing growing companies.

“Representing Canada at the G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance Summit was an opportunity to look at entrepreneurship beyond our own market,” he says. “What stood out to me was how many growing businesses, regardless of geography, face the same fundamental challenge: as an organization grows, maintaining consistency becomes harder. Our ambition is to build GrowEasy in Canada, validate it with real businesses, and ultimately create technology that can help organizations execute more consistently wherever they operate.”
The experience reinforced the company’s longer-term ambition to build Canadian technology that can eventually serve frontline businesses internationally.
Moving toward pilot validation
GrowEasy is currently moving from product development and testing toward real-world pilot validation. Its initial focus is on operations-heavy businesses where recurring routines, manager verification and shift-to-shift continuity matter.
The company is approaching that stage deliberately. Rather than presenting the platform as a finished solution for every industry, GrowEasy intends to use real operating environments to learn which workflows create the most value and where the product should develop next. That approach matters because the problems the company is addressing happen on the frontline, where software has to fit naturally into the way employees and managers already work.

Restaurants and hospitality environments provide useful early validation settings because they contain many of the challenges GrowEasy is designed around: recurring routines, multiple shifts, manager oversight, standards, handoffs and distributed frontline teams. Similar execution challenges can be found across retail, facilities, service businesses and other frontline operating environments.
Built in British Columbia, GrowEasy’s immediate priority is learning from real businesses and proving the model through disciplined pilot validation before pursuing broader expansion.
The longer-term opportunity, as the company frames it, is not simply digitizing checklists. It is building infrastructure that helps growing organizations maintain execution discipline and giving smaller businesses access to operational capabilities that have traditionally been easier for large organizations to build and maintain.
