Global X Announces Change To Risk Rating For The Unhedged Units Of Global X 1-3 Year U.s. Treasury Bond Index ETF

Global X Investments Canada Inc. (“Global X”) today announced a change to the risk rating applicable to the Unhedged Units of the Global X 1-3 Year U.S. Treasury Bond Index ETF (the “ETF”).

The change in risk rating is effective immediately and is detailed in the table below:

$60 billionGlobal X assets under management
160ETFs Global X lists on major Canadian exchanges
$1 trillionassets managed by parent Mirae Asset Financial Group
Table showing the Global X 1-3 Year U.S. Treasury Bond Index ETF (TSTX) has a new risk rating of Low, changed from a previous risk rating of Low to Medium.

This change is the result of an annual review conducted in accordance with a standardized investment risk classification methodology, set out in National Instrument 81-102 Investment Funds, that is based on the historical volatility of the ETF as measured by the 10-year standard deviation of the returns of the ETF. If an ETF has less than 10 years of performance history, the investment risk level of the ETF is calculated using the return history of the ETF and, for the remainder of the 10-year period, the return history of a reference index that is expected to reasonably approximate the standard deviation of the ETF.

No changes have been made to the investment objectives or strategies of the ETF as a result of the change to the risk rating of the Unhedged Units of the ETF. A summary of the risk rating classification methodology, investment objectives and strategies of the ETF can be found in the ETF’s most recently filed prospectus.

The risk ratings of the Hedged Units (“TSTX.F”) and the US$ Units (“TSTX.U”) of the ETF are unchanged and remain “Low”.
