Innovation Cluster Celebrates Strong Q1 2025 Client Successes

New Jobs Created, Customers Won, and International Startups Welcomed to Canada

Innovation Cluster–Peterborough and the Kawarthas is proud to celebrate its clients’ achievements for the first quarter of 2025. With over 125 active clients, the Innovation Cluster supports technology businesses on their path to commercialization and scaling, and Q1 results show remarkable progress.

From creating jobs to launching new products and securing new customers, the Innovation Cluster’s clients impact the Canadian and local economies.

“Shining a spotlight on client success is just as important as providing expert support,” said Nicole Stephenson, Chair of the Board at the Innovation Cluster. “Recognizing these businesses’ hard work and milestones keeps momentum strong and reinforces that their efforts are paying off. We’re incredibly proud of what our clients have achieved this quarter.”

Commercialization Milestones

The Innovation Cluster’s lifecycle support model includes regular milestone reviews to ensure clients stay on track and grow sustainably.

  • Creativity by Code launched a new property operations management SaaS application and onboarded two Habitat for Humanity customers.
  • Prexable introduced its AI-powered video processing platform, secured early customers, and received strong feedback.

“During the six-month pilot, video analysis from our surveillance systems revealed valuable new insights in HR management,” said the CEO of Sajad Electrical and Electronics Engineering Company.

Job Creation

Job creation is a key measure of success for Innovation Cluster clients. In Q1, two companies added new roles to support their growth:

  • Cinewoo, a platform that supports Canadian creative talent, hired two marketing professionals in Canada.
  • TutusLand, a virtual real estate Robot Advisor for metaverse properties, added a new business position.

Welcoming International Entrepreneurs

Through its STARTup VISA (SUV) Program, one of the few rural incubator programs recognized by the Government of Canada, the Innovation Cluster helps international founders and their teams build businesses in Canada and gain permanent residency.

As of the end of Q1 2025, seven SUV clients achieved permanent residency in Canada:
