The Gap in the Beverage Market

Max Rivest noticed a gap in the market for refreshing, healthy, and low-sugar beverage options. This happened after a serious episode of coffee overdose and eventually being recommended by the doctors to switch to lighter tea while studying abroad for his master’s degree. He discovered coffee leaves in an article and, realizing their potential, began developing Wize Tea with co-founder Arnaud Petitvallet. Wize Tea’s success was immediate and exponential with the launch of tea bags in Whole Foods in 2016.
