Women are natural-born leaders. In fact, a recent Harvard Business Review study discovered women were rated more positively on 13 of 19 core leadership competencies. In 2021, during a time of crisis, we need Canadian women to shape a post-COVID world. However, this will not be an easy path. According to RBC, 1.5M Canadian women lost or left their jobs in the first two months of the pandemic since women are exposed to the hardest-hit industries. This “shecession” is well underway and we need to take immediate steps to protect decades of progress, or our economy and the world will suffer.
