PeerSupport.io, a Canadian health technology company modernizing healthcare navigation through artificial intelligence (AI), today announced that its autonomous AI browser, CoWork, is marking a milestone in the future of clinical automation.
CoWork is healthcare’s first voice-first, autonomous AI browser built specifically for doctors and nurses. It listens, understands, and acts on a clinician’s instructions to perform real tasks across electronic medical records (EMRs) and web-based systems. Providers simply speak naturally to do daily tasks like send a referral, renew a prescription, or finish notes, and CoWork autonomously completes these multi-step actions by navigating screens, filling forms, and finalizing documentation, often in under 11 seconds.
“Our autonomous browser is already live inside Yukon clinics, where early pilots show 10.5 hours saved per week per clinician,” said Chirag Jadhwani, Founder and CEO of PeerSupport.io. “Autonomous tooling is the only way to meaningfully reduce administrative burden at scale. We’re proud this breakthrough was built in Canada, and we’re proud to serve providers.”
A practitioner in the Yukon, Brenden Croucher, added: “I’d tell any provider drowning in admin to give it a try. A lot of our time is spent navigating forms and systems, and this streamlines that work in a way that feels natural. It’s already reduced the workload and helps me get back to what matters, like caring for patients and getting home to my family.”
As one of the first jurisdictions in the country to deploy autonomous clinical AI to cut wait times for referrals, Yukon clinics are positioned at the forefront of northern innovation leadership. Since 2024, Yukon Health has been using PeerSupport.io’s pioneering AI-powered referral and care navigation platform, Spotlight, to cut referral wait times and reduce practitioner burnout. CoWork once again strengthens regional healthcare delivery while reinforcing the North’s role as a proving ground for scalable, made-in-Canada solutions.
Healthcare systems remain strained by administrative burden. Clinicians often spend one to two hours working inside EMRs for every hour spent with patients, and 75% of burned-out physicians cite these systems as a primary cause. Average usability scores for EMRs sit at just 45.9 out of 100, while implementations frequently run 140% over budget and take up to 24 months to deploy. CoWork eliminates these constraints entirely: it requires no integration, no APIs, no training, and no downtime.
But reducing administrative burden is only part of the solution.
Introducing the North of 60 Scholarship
In tandem with today’s product milestone, PeerSupport.io is also launching the North of 60 Scholarship, a $5,000 award designed to support healthcare workers and aspiring healthcare professionals with a meaningful connection to Canada’s territories.
Healthcare in the Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut is among the most demanding and most underserved in the country. The people who show up for those communities deserve meaningful support.
“Our mission is to alleviate administrative burden for providers,” said Jadhwani. “But we also know financial burden contributes to burnout. The North of 60 Scholarship is our commitment to easing that weight for those who serve northern communities.”
Named for the 60th parallel that marks the boundary of Canada’s three territories, the scholarship is intentionally broad and inclusive. Applicants may be eligible if they:
- Are currently enrolled in a healthcare-related program and need support covering tuition
- Are preparing to pursue a career in healthcare
- Have a demonstrated financial need
All healthcare disciplines and roles are welcome to apply.
Applicants must demonstrate a meaningful connection to the Yukon, Northwest Territories, or Nunavut, whether through residence, upbringing, professional service, or long-term commitment to those communities.
