QueerTech has announced the details of the highly anticipated, third annual QT Qonference (QTQ). Bringing the queer tech community together for an interactive and inclusive 2-day experience, QTQ 2024 is designed for business professionals, entrepreneurs, and key ecosystem players who identify as part of, or allies to, the 2SLGBTQIA+ tech community.
The hybrid event will take place from November 6 to 7 at Evergreen Brick Works in Toronto, with a virtual option available to ensure accessibility for all. QTQ 2024 aims to bring together seasoned leaders, new tech professionals, founders, students, service providers, government agencies, investors, tech companies, community organizations and more to participate in curated learning sessions, vetted hiring opportunities, dynamic networking platforms, and applicable business development prospects.
This year’s event theme – Queering Up: Expanding Your Mindset to Become Future-Ready – invites participants to challenge conventional thinking, embrace their unique skill sets and identities in the workplace, and thoughtfully prepare for the evolving landscape of technology and innovation. This theme will be integrated into each of QTQ 2024’s content tracks: technology, leadership, entrepreneurship, and mental health & wellness.
“Our event theme this year reflects our commitment to equipping the 2SLGBTQIA+ community with the tools and perspectives necessary to thrive in a rapidly changing world. We are endlessly proud of our community, and consider it a privilege to offer the queer tech community a platform to connect, learn, and feel a deep sense of belonging,” said Naoufel Testaouni, CEO of QueerTech. “The QT Qonference is not just an event—it’s a movement to empower our community to innovate, lead, and authentically bring their full selves to the tech industry.”
“As a longtime partner of QueerTech, RBC is proud to support the third edition of the QT Qonference and contribute to empowering Canada’s 2SLGBTQIA+ technology ecosystem. By providing an accessible platform for innovation and connection, we celebrate the talent and leadership within the community. We are thrilled to collaborate with QueerTech to advance Canada’s tech sector and drive a more inclusive economy,” said Kendra Dubyk, Director, Technology Partnerships at RBC.
The 2024 QT Qonference is presented by Tech@RBC, in collaboration with Petal. QTQ is also made possible by a network of engaged sponsors: Bell, Google Chrome, EY Canada, Cohere and Premier Health of America.
As a core pillar of QueerTech’s mission, the team works to ensure all events are as accessible as possible – whether the barrier pertains to the cost of a ticket, or access to the venue itself. A limited number of scholarship tickets, in addition to volunteer opportunities, will be available for QTQ 2024. The venue is fully wheelchair accessible. Ticket rates – in-person and virtual – are determined by one’s role in the ecosystem: student, entrepreneur, professional, or investor/service provider.
Following last year’s sold-out event with over 500 participants, those interested in attending QTQ 2024 are strongly encouraged to secure their tickets early. Visit www.queertech.org to learn more about QTQ 2024, and register today!
