The promotion of Ruth Goudie to President is a milestone in the company’s growth, as she becomes the first person outside of Chopra to hold the title of President. Since joining the agency’s Toronto office in 2017, Goudie has played a pivotal role in 1Milk2Sugars’ success, overseeing the agency’s +300% business revenue growth, its expansion into new marketing verticals, and a fivefold increase in employee headcount to service the fast-growing client roster that boasts global brands like e.l.f Beauty, Angelcare, Beiersdorf and Keurig Dr. Pepper. The agency is entering its 12th year at the forefront of Canada’s PR and digital marketing landscape, expanding into diverse category verticals including food & beverage, home improvement, and health & wellness.
Working in close collaboration with Creative Director and Partner Emma Cusson, Ruth has led the agency in servicing dozens of new client accounts including notable recent wins LensCrafters and Marriott, while promoting from within and adding multiple roles in such specialties as strategy, influencer and UGC campaign management to service an ever-greater breadth of clients’ marketing communications needs. During Goudie’s leadership tenure, 1Milk2Sugars was ranked for the first time on the Globe and Mail’s 2023 Top Growing Companies list and the 2020 Growth List produced by Canadian Business and Maclean’s. Additionally, the agency has been certified a Great Place to Work® every year since 2021.
Goudie’s promotion paves the way for 1Milk2Sugars Founder, Priya Chopra, to assume the full-time role of CEO, while also nurturing the growth of its sister agency double shot which Chopra founded in 2020, with a mission to amplify BIPOC content creators and connect them with global brands. Growth plans for North America include a significant focus on U.S. expansion of 1Milk2Sugars, which Chopra will oversee. Chopra will continue to be based in the company’s Montreal office.
Bolstering the new leadership structure, Chopra, Goudie, and Cusson welcome Amber Meredith to the newly created role of Chief Strategy Officer – North America. In this role, Meredith brings more than two decades of career experience in blue chip client and award-winning agency leadership roles that she will leverage in support of 1Milk2Sugars’ business development, market advancement, and operational transformation to fuel aggressive, sustainable growth for the agency and ongoing success for its clients. Meredith is based in New York City.
