The Financeit Advantage: Powering Growth for Home Improvement Businesses With Customer Financing

When a homeowner is quoted $6,000 for a new furnace, their hesitation usually isn’t about whether they need it. It’s about paying for it all at once. The upfront cost hurdle leaves them either waiting to save up or settling for a cheaper option somewhere else. The contractor loses the sale, and the homeowner ends up with a delayed upgrade or a lower-quality system.
Financeit is built to close that gap. The customer financing platform helps home improvement businesses of any size break full quotes into low monthly payments. Instead of arranging financing separately through another source like a bank, customers can apply at the point of sale in just minutes. That means smoother sales for Financeit partners and more flexibility for customers to get what they need on a budget that works for them.
By simply changing how price is presented, Financeit is reshaping how businesses sell and how consumers buy.
A major fintech player with a national footprint.
Launched in Toronto in 2011 by Co-Founders, Casper Wong (CEO) and Michael Garrity (Executive Chair), Financeit set out to make major purchases easier for Canadians to access.
Today, Financeit is Canada’s largest home improvement point-of-sale lender with a network of over 14,000 businesses nationwide. The company offers loans up to $100,000, helping Canadians “turn someday into today.” They remain headquartered in Toronto with dedicated sales teams supporting Ontario, Quebec, Atlantic Canada, and Western Canada.
Financeit’s rapid growth has earned national recognition. In 2025, they ranked 4th in the Enterprise – Industry Leaders category of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50™ and 228th on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500™ for North America. More recently in September 2026, Financeit received a Canadian Business Excellence Award for their operational success.
Growth backed by strategic acquisitions and expansion.
Specializing in home improvement, Financeit serves businesses of all sizes in HVAC, pools and spas, windows and doors, water treatment, roofing and exteriors, and general renovation, while also supporting the retail and recreational vehicle sectors. Their diverse network spans independent contractors, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), big box retailers, and enterprise distributors.
Financeit is backed by InterVest capital partners, who took over ownership from Goldman Sachs Asset Management. To further strengthen their position in the home improvement lending market, Financeit
acquired one of their competitors, Simply Group (consisting of Simply Group Financial and SNAP Home Finance) in 2023.
In June 2026, Financeit marked a major milestone by completing Canada’s first $201 million term asset backed securities (ABS) transaction. The deal reflects Financeit’s growing scale and the strength of their technology, underwriting, and risk practices.
“Completing our first term ABS transaction demonstrates that Financeit has reached a level of sophistication and institutional credibility that enables us to access capital markets efficiently to support our next phase of growth,” says Wong.
A financing platform backed by dedicated support.
Financeit is designed to make financing a natural part of the sale. Businesses can present monthly payment options wherever they engage with their customers — from their website to the showroom — and manage everything through a convenient online portal featuring application tracking and self-serve training resources for sales reps.
Behind the product is a dedicated team that supports partners every step of the way. Account Managers across the country help businesses build financing strategies tailored to their goals, from independent contractors to national franchises. There’s no need to be a financing expert. Partners can focus on their trade while Financeit handles the financing.
For customers, the process is quick, digital, and clear. They stay in control at every step, from applying on their own device to getting a fast credit decision and signing a plain-language loan agreement. Once the job is done to their satisfaction, they approve the release of funds to the business and can pay off their loan early at any time with no penalty. That clarity and control help customers feel confident in both the financing and the business they’ve chosen to work with.

Redefining the future of how Canadians buy.
With new capital, a growing network, and national recognition behind them, Financeit is setting their sights on what’s next. The company is building on that momentum by making the sales process even simpler for their partners and the customers they serve with new product enhancements and integrations.
Wong credits much of Financeit’s journey from startup to market leader to a culture that empowers their people. “Our team is the driving force behind everything we’ve built. They’ve shared our vision from the start and brought it to life for thousands of partners across the country,” he shares.
“We’re excited about what’s ahead,” he adds. “Every new tool and partnership we build is about helping Canadian businesses of all sizes grow, and making it easier for Canadians to afford the projects and purchases that matter most to them.”
