Cyberattackers are increasingly targeting small firms, with fatal results. Small company owners must grasp attackers’ tactics and secure their data to avoid data breaches that cost an average of $5.6 million. This exclusive keynote session will shed light on the two main ways attackers target small companies and provide concrete advice on curtailing them.
Delivering this must-attend exclusive keynote is Sai Huda, a globally recognized cybersecurity expert and the founder, chairman, and CEO of CyberCatch, and Keith Jansa is the Executive Director of the Digital Governance Council. CyberCatch, an AI-powered cybersecurity SaaS, helps firms develop and evaluate cybersecurity measures. CyberCatch uses innovative technologies to find and fix security holes, preventing attackers from stealing data or installing ransomware. The Digital Governance Council (formerly the CIO Strategy Council) works through its members across the public and private sectors to strengthen trust in Canada’s digital economy by collaboratively identifying, prioritizing and acting on digital governance opportunities and challenges.
Sai Huda authored the best-selling book “Next Level Cybersecurity” and helped create Canada’s cybersecurity standard, CAN/CIOSC 104, Baseline Cybersecurity Controls for SMOs. Sai loves helping small companies strengthen their cybersecurity as a keynote speaker at industry conventions.
Keith Jansa is the Executive Director of the Digital Governance Council. He works with Canada’s technology C-suite to collectively accelerate the pace of digital transformation and advance Canada’s position in the global digital economy. In his previous role as Vice President of Standards and Innovation at the Council, Keith provided executive leadership in the design and successful accreditation of the Council’s standards-setting process to drive the creation of national standards to advance Canada’s digital economy. Keith is Chair of Innovate Cities, an appointed member of Ontario’s Health Data Council, and chair of its Strategic Working Group on Data Stewardship. Keith holds a Bachelor in Health Sciences honours degree from the University of Ottawa.
Join Sai Huda, and Keith Jansa, at SMEExpo 2023 on June 16 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre to learn how attackers operate and how to protect your company. Small company entrepreneurs wishing to secure their sensitive data, reputation, and long-term success should attend this speech.
