Three economic development professionals awarded funding to support continued  professional growth and industry excellence 

The Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO) is pleased to announce  the recipients of the 2026/2027 EDCO Scholarship Program. 

Established by EDCO’s Professional Development Committee, the Scholarship Fund is  designed to encourage and support members, particularly those new to the profession, in  pursuing and maintaining professional economic development designations including the Ec.D.  and CEcD. Through the program, EDCO invests in the growth of economic development  professionals and helps strengthen capacity across communities throughout Ontario. 

EDCO is proud to recognize the following 2026/2027 Scholarship recipients: • Robyn Jackowski – Northern Recipient 

• Brenna Carroll – Southern Recipient 

• Fatema Sadriwala – Emerging Professional Recipient 

The EDCO Scholarship Program provides annual funding to support professional development  opportunities that advance knowledge, leadership skills, and professional credentials within the  economic development profession. 

“Professional development is critical to building strong economic development leadership across  Ontario,” said Stephanie Crilly, Executive Director “We are proud to support these dedicated  professionals as they continue to grow their expertise and make meaningful contributions to their organizations and communities.” 

The scholarship program reflects EDCO’s ongoing commitment to excellence in economic  development and to fostering the next generation of leaders in the profession. By investing in  education and lifelong learning, EDCO helps ensure that practitioners have access to the tools  and resources needed to support economic growth and prosperity across the province. 

EDCO extends its congratulations to this year’s recipients and thanks all applicants for their  interest in the program and their commitment to professional development.
