In 2020, only 2.3% of venture capital went to female-led companies, and less than 1% of this to companies run by people of color. This shocking statistic reveals how important it is for women to support one another. When I first launched THE LNK, all of our funding came from business-minded women looking to invest in the next big thing. They had confidence in me and my vision for THE LNK as the first online marketplace to exclusively represent ethnically diverse brands. I’m now running this international business with the support of an incredible network of fiercely intelligent advisors and investors, both men and women from all backgrounds.
