Based at Station FinTech Montréal in Place Ville-Marie, BIASafe AI builds systematic investing infrastructure for asset managers, family offices and pension plans. The company also runs an EMEA base in Casablanca and has a US investment adviser affiliate.
A Montreal Address Close to Its Buyers
BIASafe moved its headquarters to Station FinTech Montréal, in Place Ville-Marie, in October 2025. The address puts the company in Montreal’s financial district, where many of the institutions it sells to have offices. For a business selling infrastructure to institutional investors, being close to the buyers is part of the sales strategy.
The move followed BIASafe’s selection for the ACET accelerator and its inclusion among the InvestTech companies in Finance Montréal’s 2024 Fintech Report.
In February 2026, BIASafe incorporated its EMEA subsidiary in Casablanca, which had been granted Casablanca Finance City status in November 2025. In the United States, an affiliate, BIASafe Securities USA Corp., is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as an investment adviser.
The Gap the Business Addresses
BIASafe’s stated mission is to bridge the technology gap between industry giants and smaller asset managers. Rules-based investing now accounts for a large share of global assets, and it is spreading through direct indexing and institutional mandates. Building those strategies, though, still takes a quant research team, clean data and an operations function that many firms cannot fund.
A smaller manager that wanted to launch a systematic product has usually had two options: build that stack or stay out. BIASafe offers a third. The manager uses BIASafe’s infrastructure and keeps the strategy.
The platform has four modules:
- Quantitative Investment Engine: design, test and validate systematic strategies.
- Investment Management Platform: aggregate positions across custodians and track performance, risk and attribution.
- Order & Execution Management: handle orders, portfolio rebalancing and broker connectivity.
- Soteria AI: an assistant that explains, in plain language, what is driving a portfolio’s return and risk.
What Clients Keep
Two points on BIASafe’s website speak to the first concerns of the firms it targets.
The first is intellectual property. BIASafe states that a client’s strategies, factors and research remain the client’s property, and that it provides the infrastructure without any claim on the client’s alpha. For an asset manager the strategy is the business, so ownership is the first question to settle with any platform provider.
The second is security. BIASafe runs a public trust centre at trust.biasafe.ai and has completed an independent SOC 2 Type II audit of its controls. The US affiliate’s Form ADV and Form CRS, which describe its services, fees and conflicts of interest, are filed publicly under CRD No. 342777.
Data and Ecosystem Support
In March 2026, BIASafe signed a multi-year data licensing agreement with Morningstar Indexes. The data covers point-in-time index universes, corporate actions and adjusted price histories. Clients can therefore run research and live portfolios on the same data set, with fewer manual fixes between the two.
BIASafe also names several organizations that support its work: Mitacs, Concordia University, the NVIDIA Inception program, Google Cloud, Plug and Play, Foundry, ACET and Casablanca Finance City.
A Founder’s View
“A mid-sized manager shouldn’t need a quant desk to offer direct indexing in 2026,” said Teric Greenan, Co-Founder & COO of BIASafe.
