Event offers an opportunity to connect with the growing franchise community and showcases the breadth of career options available in the franchise sector
Toronto – February 23, 2023 – Remaining resilient through difficult economic times, the Canadian franchise industry continues to grow in a variety of sectors from health and wellness, to education, mobile, home improvement, and everything in between. Despite this growth, the topic of unprecedented labour shortages continues to make headlines. The Canadian Franchise Association (CFA) wants to address this challenge head on and has partnered with Humber College to offer unique employment and placement opportunities across numerous franchise sectors to the next generation coming out of post-secondary schools.
The upcoming Virtual Franchise Career Fair, hosted by the CFA and Humber College, will take place online on March 8, offering prospective students the perfect opportunity to take their first step into a franchise-related career. Virtual attendees will be able to interact with local and recognizable Canadian franchises looking to hire talent across a diverse range of roles and skill sets. From full-time employment, to part-time jobs, and unpaid internships to meet program requirements, this event will aim to match candidates with employers in the franchise community for a mutually beneficial connection.
“At the Canadian Franchise Association, we aim to provide resources, as well as education, to make it easier for those in our community to reach their goals and further their growth,” says Kenny Chan, Vice President of Content & Marketing at the Canadian Franchise Association (CFA). “This partnership with Humber College allows us to support our franchise members and address any gaps in labour that need to be filled, creating opportunities to bring in fresh talent, and providing professional development, something that is key for the future of franchising. This event is an exciting and accessible starting point for students interested in a thriving career and for businesses looking for exceptional talent.”
