Ever since my childhood, I’ve benefitted immensely from my family’s support and encouragement to follow my passion and ambition.
Did I know what ambition I had?
No!
But, the unwavering support from my family let me define that ambition over the course of time and finally brought me to Canada to chase those dreams.
Building a life in a new country with no family is never easy. It becomes easier with an ecosystem of friends and peer groups that give you the strength and confidence to grow with new opportunities.
This newfound support system is what motivated me to try a new industry like payroll and HR with ADP, where I’ve grown in roles from corporate and sales strategy to partner operations and have had the opportunity to develop as leader driving our business forward.
These opportunities through ADP with our small business and accountant community have been instrumental in my development as a strategic leader who can connect the needs of our accountant partners to ADP solutions designed for those needs.
My advice to our Canadian women small business owners and accountant partners: Find your support system! You don’t have to do it alone.

Garima Dhawan
Head of Channel Partner Operations, ADP Canada Small Business Services
Garima Dhawan leads the operations for all channel partners, including accountants and banks. She is responsible in building the infrastructure to drive scalable growth and seamless client experience for ADP and its partners. In this capacity, she is focused on product and process improvement, in addition to people growth.
Garima joined ADP in 2022 as Director for the Corporate Strategy team. There, she was responsible for annual strategic planning for ADP Canada, including go-to market strategy. Prior to joining ADP, she has nearly a decade of strategy and finance experience, five of them in Management Consulting at Deloitte.
Garima lives with her spouse in Toronto. Outside of work, she is a dance enthusiast and continues to learn various dance forms. She also volunteers with kids organizations to teach business and financial concepts to young children.
