Have you often found yourself overwhelmed with change? If yes, here’s an inspirational story that will help you shift your mindset. In July 2006, Canadian Paralympian, Kevin Rempel, from Vineland, Ontario, had a life-changing dirt bike jumping accident which left him an incomplete paraplegic.
Too Many Obstacles to Test Him
At the age of 23, Kevin was told he would likely never walk again. At the same time, Kevin also had to deal with his father, Gerry, who was only one year away from retirement when he fell from a tree while deer hunting. Unfortunately, Gerry couldn’t handle his situation and committed suicide in July 2007.
Resilience is The Key to Success
Following the loss of his father and while recovering from his paralysis, Kevin soon discovered the Paralympic sport of sledge hockey. After playing with Team Canada for five years, Kevin became a 2013 World Champion and in 2014 competed in Sochi, Russia, helping Canada earn a bronze medal.
The Hero Mindset
To say Kevin has overcome a tremendous number of obstacles is an understatement. Today, Kevin is a keynote speaker sharing his story with corporate audiences.
