Lianna Genovese is the CEO & Founder of ImaginAble Solutions, a women-led social impact company headquartered in Hamilton, Ontario that specializes in creating assistive technology to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities.
At the age of 19, Lianna invented Guided Hands ®, the company’s international award-winning assistive device that enables people with limited hand mobility to write, paint, draw and access technology.
Lianna holds a Bachelor of Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering from McMaster University where she created the first prototype of Guided Hands ® for her friend living with Cerebral Palsy. Now, at the age of 24, Lianna has sold the product across the world to leading hospitals, rehabilitation centres, schools and families in 18 countries. She has also received over 40 awards for her innovation, including the James Dyson Engineering Award, Arthritis Society Canada People’s Choice Award, and named Forbes 30 Under 30 in Toronto.
