Ingaged Creative Productions Inc. was founded in Fort William First Nation, Ontario, in 2019. The company is Anishinaabe owned and operated by Corey Anderson of Kiashke Zaaging Anishinaabek, or Gull Bay First Nation. A diverse team of fourteen people, including First Nations, Metis, Permanent Residents, and Settler Canadians are employed by the full-service creative event and marketing agency. With a focus on supporting their clients and their collaborative partners’ self-determined goals, Ingaged Creative Productions Inc. specializes in culturally meaningful engagement and creating a network of Indigenous suppliers and partners. They provide creative solutions including digital and print marketing, event support (live, virtual and hybrid), visual identity and branding, and unique gift items developed with artists from across Northwestern Ontario.
Milestones and Achievements by Ingaged Creative Productions Inc.
The creation of five new full-time positions, the adoption of an adaptive service model that supported growth during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the expansion of internal digital manufacturing and production services are all noteworthy accomplishments. These accomplishments helped to boost operating revenue from 450K to 1.5M, which enabled approximately 350K to be invested directly in the local First Nation economy.
Ingaged made an acquisition in 2022 and opened a second location in Thunder Bay. The facility has assisted in the establishment of the Ingaged Creative Marketplace, provided possibilities for partner artists through the introduction of more than 20 new items, and encouraged the cooperative expansion of the Indigenous economy.
At the 31st Annual NADF Awards Gala, Ingaged and its Managing Director, Corey Anderson, received the “Young Entrepreneur of the Year” award as well as further nominations for the “Small Business of the Year” and “Business Excellence” categories.
Ingaged Creative Productions Inc. was a finalist at the CanadianSME National Business Awards, 2022, which was held on May 5th, 2023, at the prestigious Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
