GOLEM DESIGNS: The Ultimate Name in Contemporary Ceramics

GOLEM DESIGNS has grown leaps and bounds with its contemporary and timeless art pieces. It has also brought forward an impactful initiative under its banner GOLEM EXPRESSIVE ARTS – ‘Expressive Arts Therapy’.

The designer and artist of the GOLEM brand is Anna Maliatski. With a strong foundation in architecture and design, Anna is transforming her experience into both utilitarian and decorative ceramic objects. In her work, she employs a range of clay-forming methods. A few examples include hand construction, slip casting, and wheel throwing. This approach produces one-of-a-kind, distinctive items that are always amusing. Anna typically uses an electric kiln to heat her items to cones 6 and 10. Her use of restrained, dramatic colours is frequently accented with a touch of gold to draw attention to the bold, gestural, organic lines in her creations. Anna enjoys working with both individual clients and large organizations. She believes that each assignment challenges her to grow professionally and creatively.

Make Way for Clay

Here at GOLEM, Anna provides a range of clay-based workshops! They can create a workshop anywhere and can house up to 5 persons in their comfortable home studio. They host Summer Impressions which is all about embossing the idea and expression of summer plants on clay wall plaques. Capture summer on your clay art piece and experience a beautiful feeling of exuberance right here at GOLEM DESIGNS.

One-of-a-kind Pottery

Everything they put up for sale seems to have a timeless style and finish. There are a wide range of products that include different forms of white speckled vases, tilted vases, small o-planters, set of o-planters, bronze organic o-planters from black clay and salad bowls in bronze, white and black.

If you are up for timeless art and choose soft creative designs on your daily dinnerware and utensils then GOLEM DESIGNS is your brand. Pottery studio GOLEM Designs, situated in Vancouver, specializes in wholesale tableware and home décor. Following COVID, they have moved their clay studio to their Burnaby home, where they currently have a window, a workshop, and an art room for their expressive arts therapy practice. All are welcome to come by appointment.

Expressive Arts Therapy

Expressive arts can penetrate one’s soul since they place a strong focus on connecting with the body and using it as a tool for a creative outlet. Expressive arts therapy is a type of psychotherapy that combines several artistic mediums, including writing, music, movement, and visual arts, to promote emotional healing, personal growth, and self-discovery. It is an all-encompassing strategy that acknowledges the therapeutic potential of the creative process in fostering emotional and psychological well-being.

Anna Maliatski, RTC, EXAT, M.A. is a certified expressive art therapist who hosts ExAT sessions from time to time. If you are living or visiting Canada you can take part in her art sessions and help yourself find your way back into your happy self with a sense of purpose and fulfillment.
